Treximet
List of products in the National Drug Code with proprietary name treximet. This combination product contains two ingredients: naproxen and sumatriptan. It helps to relieve headache, pain, and other migraine symptoms (including nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light/sound) in adults and in children 12 years or older. Prompt treatment helps you return to your normal routine and may decrease your need for other pain medications. Naproxen is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to relieve pain. Sumatriptan belongs to a class of drugs called triptans. It affects a certain natural substance (serotonin) that causes narrowing of blood vessels in the brain. It may also relieve pain by affecting certain nerves in the brain. This medication does not prevent future migraines or lessen how often you get migraine attacks.
