Usage Information
    GENERAL INSTRUCTIONSLactisan is a premium, concentrated teat dip that dilutes to a 3.5% lactic acid pre and post dip.DO NOT use Lactisan at full strength.Consult your veterinarian before using a teat dip on a cow with sore or chapped teats.Do not pour unused teat dip back into original container.Do not use for cleaning or sanitizing equipment.Thoroughly clean and sanitize teat dip cup before milking.Dip solution should be changed if it becomes visibly dirty, or if sediment is introduced.Discard any teat dip that becomes contaminated for any reason.Good dairy practices suggest the thorough cleaning and sanitizing of teats before milking to avoid contamination and assist in the control of mastitis. DILUTION / MIXING DIRECTIONSAdd 1 gallon of Lactisan to 3 gallons of water and agitate until thoroughly mixed.  Proper dilution of Lactisan will yield 3.5% lactic acid with 5% sorbitol for skin conditioning. Failure to follow these mixing instructions may cause injury to animals or reduce the effectiveness of the product as a teat dip.PRE-DIPPINGRemove excess organic debris and forestrip.  (If water is used, use a minimal amount and dry thoroughly with a clean, single-service paper towel before forestripping.)Dip or spray cow's teats with properly diluted Lactisan teat dip.Allow a 30 second contact time.Dry teats thoroughly with a clean, single-service towel.Attach milker unit.POST-DIPPINGImmediately after milking unit is removed, dip or spray teats with diluted Lactisan.Before exposing cows to below-freezing temperatures, the teats should be thoroughly dry to reduce the potential of frostbite.  Failure to follow these instructions may result in frozen teats and injured animals.

FIRST AID

Eye Contact:  Flush with water.  Remove contact lenses, if present, after first 5 minutes.  Then continue rinsing.  Get immediate medical attention.

If Swallowed:  Do not induce vomiting.  If victim is fully conscious, give large quantity of water. Never give anything my mouth to an unconscious person.  Get immediate medical attention.

Storage And Handling



STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

THOROUGHLY RINSE ALL MEASURING DEVICES AND STORE OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.  Store at room temperature.  Avoid storing near heat or open flame.  Do not store in direct sunlight.  Avoid contact with food or feed.  Keep container tightly closed when not in use.  If product has frozen, thaw in a warm room and shake well before use.  Do not reuse empty container.  Rinse empty container before disposing of in a safe manner.  To discard teat dip, dilute with water and pour down drain.
