Active Ingredient
Povidone-iodine. 5% (0.5% available iodine)
Purpose
First aid antiseptic
Uses
- for preparation of the skin prior to surgery
- helps to reduce bacteria that potentially can cause skin infection
Warnings
For external use only
Do Not Use
- in the eyes
- on food-producing animals
When Using This Product
- do not heat prior to application
- prolonged exposure to wet solution may cause irritation or, rarely, severe skin reactions
- in pre-operative prepping, avoid "pooling" beneath the animal
Stop Use And Ask A Veterinarian
- if irritation and redness develop
- in rare instances of local irritation or sensitivity
Keep Out Of Reach Of Children.
If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away
Directions
- apply full strength to skin or surgical preparation site
- wet area thoroughly to ensure complete coverage and penetration but avoid "pooling"
- allow to dry
- may be covered with bandage
- for use on companion animals, including dogs, cats, and horses
