Cefiderocol Injection
Cefiderocol injection is used to treat certain types of urinary tract infections in adults unable to take or receive other treatment options. It is also used to treat pneumonia in adults who are on ventilators or who were already in a hospital. Cefiderocol injection is in a class of medications called cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria. Antibiotics such as cefiderocol injection will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections. Taking or using antibiotics when they are not needed increases your risk of getting an infection later that resists antibiotic treatment.
