Bevacizumab Injection
Bevacizumab injection products are used in combination with other chemotherapy medications to treat cancer of the colon (large intestine) or rectum that has spread to other parts of the body; in combination with other chemotherapy medications to treat certain types of lung cancer that has spread to nearby tissues or other parts of the body, that cannot be removed by surgery, or have returned after treatment with other chemotherapy medications; to treat glioblastoma (a certain type of cancerous brain tumor) that has not improved or has come back after treatment with other medications; in combination with interferon alfa to treat renal cell cancer (RCC, a type of cancer that begins in the kidney) that has spread to other parts of the body; in combination with other chemotherapy medications to treat cervical cancer (cancer that begins in the opening of the uterus [womb]) that has not improved or has come back after treatment with other medications or has spread to other parts of the body; in combination with other chemotherapy medications to treat certain types of ovarian (female reproductive organs where eggs are formed), fallopian tube (tube that transports eggs released by the ovaries to the uterus), and peritoneal (layer of tissue that lines the abdomen) cancer that has not improved or has come back after treatment with other medications; and in combination with atezolizumab to treat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery in people who have not previously not received chemotherapy. Bevacizumab injection products are in a class of medications called antiangiogenic agents. They work by stopping the formation of blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to tumors. Cancer Chemotherapy
Normally, your cells grow and die in a controlled way. Cancer cells keep growing without control. Chemotherapy is drug therapy for cancer. It works by killing the cancer cells, stopping them from spreading, or slowing their growth. However, it can also harm healthy cells, which causes side effects.

You may get treatment every day, every week, or every month. You may have breaks between treatments so that your body has a chance to build new healthy cells. You might take the drugs by mouth, in a shot, as a cream, or intravenously (by IV).
