Atropine Sulfate Ophthalmic Solution is a medication used topically in the eye(s) up to twice daily for adults. The recommended adult dosage is one drop per use. The active ingredient in each drop is atropine sulfate monohydrate with a 1% concentration. The preservative is benzalkonium chloride with a 0.01% concentration. The other inactive ingredients include hypromellose, boric acid, odorless hydriodic acid and/or hydrochloric acid (to adjust pH), and purified water. The package contains a dropper, and the user is advised not to touch the dropper to any surface to avoid contamination. The product should be stored at a temperature range of 2°C to 25°C (36°F to 77°F). Additional dosage information is available in the enclosed insert.
