Extavia is a medication with 0.3mg of interferon beta-1b in each vial for subcutaneous use only. Each blister pack consists of 15 single-dose vials, sodium chloride, 27-gauge needles, and alcohol prep pads. The enclosed Medication Guide should be provided for each patient who has been advised to use this drug. It should be stored at room temperature between 20°C and 25°C (68°F to 77°F), and not shaken while reconstituting. It is important to note that this medication should not be frozen or kept beyond three hours if refrigerated properly. This product contains natural rubber latex, and hence may cause allergic reactions.*
