Metaxalone is a USP tablet with a recommended dosage of two 400 mg tablets (800 mg) three to four times a day for adults and children over 12 years of age. The medication comes in a sealed package with 100 tablets and should be stored at 20-25°C (68-77°F). It should be dispensed in a tightly-closed, light-resistant container, as defined in the USP, with a child-resistant closure, as required. The drug is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals Pvt.
