PreviDent® 5000 Sensitive Toothpaste is a prescription-strength toothpaste designed to prevent dental caries and reduce tooth sensitivity. The toothpaste contains 1.1% sodium fluoride and 5% potassium nitrate, which enhance penetration of the fluoride ion into tooth enamel. The toothpaste should be applied at least once a day to all sensitive areas of the teeth and brushed thoroughly for at least 1 minute, followed by rinsing. This toothpaste is intended for adult patients and children over 12 years of age. It should not be used in pediatric patients under age 12 unless recommended by a dentist or physician. If accidentally ingested in large amounts, prompt medical assistance should be sought.*
