This is a description of the drug Metronidazole Gel USP 0.75% manufactured by Fougera. It is for topical use only and not for ophthalmic use. The gel contains purified water, propylene glycol, carbomer 980, sodium hydroxide, edetate disodium, and preservatives such as methylparaben and propylparaben. Each gram of the gel contains 7.5 mg of metronidazole USP as the active ingredient. The drug must be stored at 20° to 25°C and should be kept out of reach of children. Users should avoid applying the gel close to their eyes. The crimp of the tube provides the lot number and expiration date.*
