This text describes a topical lotion containing metronidazole USP which should be applied to the skin twice daily or as directed by a physician. The inactive ingredients include carbomer 941, cyclomethicone, glycerin and others. The lotion should be stored at controlled room temperature and protected from freezing. Metronidazole Topical Lotion is a medication used for topical applications only, not for ophthalmic use, and comes in a 2oz (59ml) bottle. It is used to treat skin conditions and infections with usual dosages as directed by a physician. The lotion should be applied to the affected area after washing, once in the morning and at night and not applied near the eye area. It should be stored at room temperature, 20-25°C and protected from freezing. Children should not have access to it. The product also contains PEG-100 and is manufactured by Fougera.*
