AVAR-e is an emollient cream used for the topical control of acne vulgaris, acne rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis. It contains 100mg of sodium sulfacetamide and 20mg of colloidal sulfur in a vehicle consisting of several ingredients. It should be applied in a thin layer to the affected areas 1 to 3 times daily or as directed by a physician. This product is not recommended for patients with kidney disease and is contraindicated in persons with hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. The storage temperature should be between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), avoiding freezing and excessive heat.
