HIBICLENS is a Chlorhexidine Gluconate based solution that helps in preventing skin infections and reducing the risk of cross-infection. It has antiseptic activity and rapid bactericidal activity against a wide range of microorganisms. HIBICLENS can be used as an antimicrobial skin cleanser to reduce bacteria that can cause diseases, for skin wound and general cleansing, surgical hand washing, and health care personnel hand wash. However, this product can cause severe allergic reactions; symptoms may include wheezing/difficulty breathing, facial swelling, hives, or rash. Individuals allergic to chlorhexidine should refrain from using it. The product must be kept out of reach of infants under two months of age, and excessive heat of more than 40°C should be avoided. This product might cause staining when used with chlorine releasing products.*
