Cefazolin for Injection USP 2 and Dextrose Injection USP 50mL is a single-dose, iso-osmotic, and nonpyrogenic medication. It should only be used for IV administration after reconstituting the contents of both chambers. The medication contains cefazolin sodium USP, equivalent to 2g cefazolin, and hydrous dextrose USP in water for injection USP. The reconstituted solution must be clear and free from particulate matter before use. The medication must be used within 24 hours if stored at room temperature or within 7 days if stored under refrigeration. The container must not be used in a series connection, nor should additives be introduced into the container. Prior to use, check for minute leaks by squeezing the container. The medication is produced in the USA and Italy and does not contain natural rubber latex, PVC, or DEHP.*
