This is a description of a 20% Mannitol Injection USP contained in a 500 mL EXCEL® CONTAINER. Each 100 mL of the solution contains 20 g of Mannitol USP and water for Injection USP. The pH of the solution is 5.3, and the calculated osmolarity is 1100 mOsmol/liter, which is hypertonic. It is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution that comes in a single-use container. It can only be used for intravenous purposes and should not be used in series connections. It is advised not to mix it with other drugs, and the solution must be clear, and the container and seals should be intact before using. The solution must be rejected if crystals are not completely redissolved. Also, it should be stored at room temperature, and the package insert should be checked for storage information. The solution does not contain natural rubber latex, PVC or DEHP. There is a product code (L5781) and a barcode on the presentation.*
