This is a description of a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for intravenous use only. It is a single-dose container containing 0.15% Potassium Chloride and 5% Dextrose Injection. Each 100mL contains 5g of hydrous Dextrose, 0.15g of Potassium Chloride, and Water for Injection. The solution has a pH of 4.3 and a calculated osmolarity of 295mOsmol/L. It is recommended to store the solution at room temperature and protected from freezing. The container should not be used in series connection, and only clear solutions with intact containers and seals should be used. Some additives may not be compatible, and it is recommended to consult with a pharmacist before introducing any. The overwrap should not be removed until the solution is ready for use.
