This is a description of Lactated Ringer's Injection USP. The solution is a sterile, nonpyrogenic intravenous solution used for rehydration and electrolyte replacement in the body. The solution contains Sodium Chloride USP, Sodium Lactate, Potassium Chloride USP, Calcium Chloridee2H,0 USP, and Water for Injection USP qs. The solution may be adjusted with HCI NF or NaOH NF to a pH level of 8.2 (6.0-7.5). The recommended storage is at room temperature (25°C) without excessive heat and from freezing. The package should not be opened until ready for use. The 500 mL bottle has a single-dose container and should not be administered simultaneously with other solutions. Leakage may result in impaired stability. The solution is not for use in the treatment of lactic acidosis. Any additives must be compatible, mixed thoroughly, and introduced in aseptic techniques. Also, the solution is not made with natural rubber latex, PYC or DEHP.*

Additionally, the solution should not be used if leaks are found, or sterility may be impaired. It is a single dose container, and it should not be used simultaneously with blood, and blood or other additives should not be added to it.
