This is a description of Lactated Ringer's Injection USP, which is a solution for intravenous use containing electrolytes such as Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lactate, Potassium Chloride, and Calcium Chloride. The pH of the solution is 6.2 and the osmolarity is 274 mOsmol/liter. The solution is sterile and comes in a single dose container. It should not be used for treating lactic acidosis and should not be administered simultaneously with blood. Storage at room temperature is recommended, and it should be protected from freezing.
