Ringer's Injection USP is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution meant for intravenous use. It is available in a single dose container and contains sodium chloride USP, calcium chloride, potassium chloride USP, and water for injection USP. The solution is clear and should not be used if the container or seals are damaged. It should not be administered simultaneously with blood and some additives may be incompatible. Adequate aseptic procedures must be followed while introducing additives, and the solution should not be stored after mixing. The recommended storage temperature is room temperature not exceeding 25°C, and the solution must be protected from freezing. The solution should not be used in series connection, and its sterility may be impaired if a minute leak is found on squeezing the container. The solution is not made of natural rubber latex, PVC, or DEHP.*
