HURRICAINE® topical anesthetic gel with 20% Benzocaine Oral Anesthetic is used for temporary relief of occasional minor irritation and pain associated with canker sores, sore mouth and throat, minor injury of the mouth and gums, minor dental procedures, and minor inflammation of the mouth and gums caused by dentures or orthodontic appliances. The use of this product may cause Methemoglobinemia, which is a serious condition that must be treated immediately because a certain amount of oxygen is essential in the blood. If a sore throat persists for more than 2 days, accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, swelling, nausea, or vomiting, consult a doctor immediately. The drug should not be used for children under 2 years of age, and adults and children should apply to the affected area no more than 4-14 times a day or as directed by a dentist or doctor. The product should be kept out of reach of children.*
