HURRICAINE is a Topical Anesthetic Spray that contains 20% Benzocaine Oral Anesthetic which is used for temporary relief of minor irritations and pain, including canker sores, sore mouth, and throat, minor injury to the mouth and gums, and discomfort caused by dental procedures and the movement of the mouth and gums due to orthodontic appliances. HURRICAINE has warnings for possible methemoglobinemia and should not be used if symptoms persist after 7 days of treatment, accompanied by fever or if there is swelling or rash. HURRICAINE is a registered trademark of Beutlich Pharmaceuticals LLC and is available in different forms including spray, liquid, swabs, and gel, all with different flavors.*
