Magnesium Citrate is a saline laxative that is used to provide relief to patients suffering from occasional constipation. It contains 1.745 grams of magnesium citrate per fluid ounce. It is advised to consult a doctor before using this product in case of abdominal pain, sudden change in bowel habits, kidney disease, magnesium-restricted diets, taking other drugs, or using the product for more than a week. Adults and children can take a maximum of 6.5 to 10 fl oz within 24 hours while children above 2 years of age can take a maximum of 3 floz in 24 hours. The product must be shaken well before use and consumed with a full glass of liquid. The product must be kept at temperatures between 46 and 86°F (8 and 30°C). In case of overdose or serious condition, one must get medical help or contact Poison Control Center immediately.*
