Dextromethorphan Hbr 30 mg, Guaifenesin 600 mg (Mucus Relief Dm 600 mg 30 mg Extended Release Capl 1)
This is a drug used to relieve minor bronchial irritations associated with colds and flu. It loosens phlegm and thins bronchial secretions to enhance productivity. It is not to be used in children less than 12 years of age and is not recommended if the patient is taking a prescription MAOI (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions or Parkinson's disease). The patient is advised to contact a doctor if experiencing coughs that exceed seven days, come back, or occur with fever, rash or persistent headache, as it may signify a serious disease. The drug should be administered with a full glass of water and not be exceeded beyond the dosage stated. Inactive ingredients include cobalamin, silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, and povidone. It is not available in the US as Mucinex Dm as it is not made or distributed by RB Health.*
