This is a drug label for a children's ibuprofen oral suspension produced by Walgreens. The medication contains 100 mg of ibuprofen per 5 mL, which is a fever reducer and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. This medication relieves minor aches and pains due to the flu, sore throat, or toothache. It reduces fever temporarily, but it's not appropriate for every child. Before use, it's important to ask a doctor if the child has a history of stomach problems, blood pressure, heart, kidney or liver problems, has vomiting, diarrhea dehydration or is not drinking fluids, experience side effects from drugs, or if they are taking an anticoagulant or steroid drug, or any other drug containing prescription or non-prescription NSAIDs. If the child has had an allergic reaction to ibuprofen or any other pain reliever, fever reducer, or NSAID, do not use it. It might also increase the risk of heart attack, heart failure, or stroke. If the child has persistent stomach bleeding or heart problems, seek medical help right away. In case of an overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. To prevent accidents, do not use any other dosing device than the enclosed dosing cup, wash it after each use, and keep the medication out of children's reach.*
