Guaifenesin 600 mg (Mucus Relief 600 mg Extended Release Caplets 1)
This is a drug facts sheet for a medication with the active ingredient Gualfonesin 600 mg. It helps to loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions to clear the bronchial passageways. The medication should not be used for more than 7 days and a doctor should be consulted before use in cases of persistent cough, smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema, or if pregnant or breastfeeding. The product cannot be used by children under 12 years of age. The medication is to be taken orally every 12 hours with water and should not be crushed or chewed. The inactive ingredients include carbomer, colloidal silicon dioxide, FD&C blue #1 aluminum lake, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and povidone.
