This is a drug product used as a wart remover with an active ingredient of Salicylic acid 40% w/w. It is used to remove common warts, and one should not use it on genital warts or warts on the face, on moles, birthmarks, and warts with hair growing from them, or mucous membranes such as nose, anus, genitals, and lips. It is for external use only and should not be used if one is a diabetic, has poor blood circulation, has irritated skin or any area that is infected or reddened. Inactive ingredients are acrylic adhesive, and polyethylene foam. The product's instructions are to wash the affected area, possibly soak wart in warm water for five minutes, and dry the area thoroughly. If necessary, cut the medicated disc to fit the wart, carefully apply the medicated disc with a sticky side onto the wart, and cover the medicated disc with the center of the bandage strip. Repeat this procedure every 48 hours as needed (until the wart is removed) for up to 12 weeks. The Walgreens brand is recommended, and one can contact a Poison Control Center immediately if swallowed, and keep it out of reach of children.*
