Ivermectin is a lotion with 0.5% strength used for treating lice. It is applied once for ten minutes, and no nit combing is needed afterward. This one tube application is safe for external use only on the scalp, but it must not be used on children below six months old, near the eyes, nose, ear, mouth, or in the vagina. Before using the product, one has to check with the doctor if they have any skin conditions, sensitivities, are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
