Cough And Chest Congestion (Delsym 01)
This is a drug for cough and chest congestion relief. It contains dextromethorphan (cough suppressant) and guaifenesin (expectorant) and is effective for minor throat and bronchia irritation caused by common cold or inhaled irritants. It should not be taken with MAO inhibitors or with other cough medications. The directions should be followed, and the dosing cup provided should be used. It is suitable for ages 12 and older, but children under 12 should not use it. If cough lasts for more than seven days or is accompanied by other signs, a doctor's visit is recommended.
