Thank you for purchasing Docosanol 10% Cream. This cream is effective in shortening the healing time of cold sores, helping you look and feel better faster. Cold sores, also known as fever blisters, are a common condition affecting one in five Americans each year. Most people experience two to three outbreaks per year, which can be easily passed on to others. It is important to be aware of early warning signs and avoid close physical contact when you have a cold sore. The cold sore virus can be reactivated by everyday triggers such as stress, sunlight, extreme weather, colds and flu, lack of sleep, or menstruation. Docosanol Cream, 10% is a unique over-the-counter product that contains 10% docosanol, which helps shorten the healing time of cold sores and reduce symptoms such as tingling, pain, itching, and burning. This cream can be used by adults and children aged 12 and over, applied directly to the cold sore five times a day until it is healed. Cosmetics can be applied over the cream, but it is recommended to use a separate applicator to avoid contamination.*
