Calamine Lotion is a skin protectant made by Humco. It contains calamine as an active ingredient and is intended to relieve itching and irritation caused by poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. The lotion is meant to be applied externally and is recommended for use on children 2 years of age and older. It is important to shake well before using and to avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact the Poison Control Center. If the condition worsens or persists for more than 7 days, discontinue use and consult a doctor. The lotion contains several inactive ingredients, including Aviel, Benlonite Magma, Calcum Hydroxide, Carrageenan, Glycen, Purified Waler, and Xanthan Gun.*
