This is a description for an anesthetic gel called Benzo-Jel. It contains 20% benzocaine and is only meant for oral use under the supervision of a dentist. The gel is flavored with Pina Colada and packaged in a 1 fl. oz. (29.6 mL) container. The ingredients include PEG 3350 USP, PEG 400 USP, flavor, Sodium Saccharin USP, and 0.2g of benzocaine SR in each gram of gel. The gel should be stored at 50°-86°F (15°-30°C) and should not be used on people with allergies to benzocaine and PABA compounds. Dispensing the gel without a prescription is prohibited by federal law (USA).*
