CEFAZOLIN 500 mg Injection is a sterile solution for intramuscular or intravenous use. Each vial contains sterile cefazolin sodium equivalent to 500 mg cefazolin. It is protected from light and has a shelf life of 1 year. The sodium content in the solution is 24 mg. The reconstituted solution is stable for 24 hours when stored at room temperature and 10 days if refrigerated. The color of the reconstituted solutions can vary from pale yellow to yellow without affecting its potency. It should be stored at a controlled room temperature of 68F to 77F, out of the reach of children. This drug is prescription-only and has a lot number, NDC code, and an expiration date labeled on it. It is manufactured by West-Ward Pharmaceuticals and packaged by Henry Schein, Inc.*
