Dakinsquarter (Dakinsquarter)

Dakin's Solution is an antimicrobial solution with the active ingredient Sodium Hypochlorite 0.125% used to prevent and treat skin and tissue infections, cuts, abrasions, and skin ulcers. It can be applied as an irrigant, cleanser or the wetting agent for a wet-to-moist dressing. The solution is only for external use and should not be used if sensitive to chlorine compounds. The product has warnings of potential redness, irritation, swelling, or pain increase and comes with directions to be applied once or twice daily depending on the wound. The product has inactive ingredients including purified water, sodium bicarbonate, and sodium hydroxide.*
