Nystatin Ointment is a topical medication for external use only, containing 100,000 units of nystatin USP per gram of petrolatum base. The usual dosage is applying to the affected area as directed in the package insert. The product's packaging has a tamper-evident cover which, once punctured, should not be used. The cap should be unscrewed, the tube punctured, and the cap screwed back on to seal it. It is important to keep the product away from children and store it at controlled room temperature between 15-30°C (55-86°F) and not freezing.
