Diclofenac Sodium Gel 3% is a topical medication used for the treatment of actinic keratosis. It contains diclofenac sodium USP, along with other inactive ingredients such as benzyl alcohol and purified water. The recommended adult dosage is 0.5 g applied to affected skin, smoothed in gently. The usual duration of therapy is between 60 to 90 days. Caution must be taken as it is for external use only, and is not to be used for ophthalmic purposes. The gel is to be stored between temperatures of 20°C to 25°C, with excursions between 15°C to 30°C. It must be protected from heat and should not be frozen. It must be kept out of the reach of children. A medication guide must be dispensed to each patient by the pharmacist.*
