Ed A-Hist Tablets is a medication that temporarily relieves symptoms due to the common cold, hay fever (Galercic rhinitis), or other upper respiratory allergies like a runny nose, sneezing, and itching of the nose or throat, itchy, watery eyes, nasal congestion, and reduces swelling of nasal passages. It contains antihistamine and nasal decongestant. This medication should not be used if a person is taking certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease or within 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. It should be kept out of children's reach. People who have a breathing problem, glaucoma, heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes mellitus, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland, must ask a doctor before use. Excitability may occur, especially in children. One tablet may be taken every 4 hours, not to exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours, or as directed by a doctor. Inactive ingredients include FD&C Blue #2, FD&C Yellow #5, FD&C Yellow #6, Magnesium Stearate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sodium Starch Glycolate, and contains FD&C Yellow No. 5 (tartrazine) as a color additive.*
