People with fever, mucus in the stool, a history of liver disease or taking antibiotics should consult a doctor before use. The medication may cause tiredness, drowsiness or dizziness, and users are advised to be careful when operating machinery. If diarrhea lasts for more than two days, the symptoms get worse, or there is abdominal swelling, users should stop using the drug and consult a doctor. For adults and children, two caplets are recommended after the first loose stool and one caplet after each subsequent loose stool, but no more than four caplets in 24 hours.
