This is a description of Rugby Laboratories' calcium carbonate tablets. The active ingredient in each tablet is 750mg calcium carbonate which is comparable to the active ingredient in TUMS® EXTRA STRENGTH. The purpose of this medication is not specified. Users are warned to ask a doctor before use if they are currently taking prescription drugs as antacids may interact with certain types of prescription drugs. It is recommended that users do not consume more than 10 tablets in a 24-hour period or use more than the recommended dosage of this product for more than two weeks, except under the care and supervision of a doctor. This medication cannot be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Each tablet contains 300 mg of elemental calcium. There are also several inactive ingredients present in these tablets, such as adipic acid, corn starch, flavors, and magnesium stearate. These tablets are distributed by Rugby Laboratories and they come in a bottle with a tamper-evident seal under the cap. The bottle should be kept at room temperature and out of the reach of children.*
