This is a saline laxative called Milk of Magnesia which is stimulant-free, cramp-free, and sugar-free. It is suggested to ask a doctor before use if you have kidney disease, stomach pain, nausea or vomiting, magnesium-restricted diet, or a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts over 14 days or are taking a prescription drug. Also, it is important to contact a doctor if you have rectal bleeding or no bowel movement after using this product. The directions suggest not to exceed the maximum recommended daily dose in a 24 hour period and drink a full glass (8 oz of liquid) with each dose.
