This is a description for an eye lubricant called "Drug Facts". It contains 1% of Carboxymethylcellulose sodium, which helps relieve dryness, burning, and discomfort in the eyes caused by wind or sun exposure. It can also be used as a protectant against further irritation. This product is only for use in the eyes and should not be touched to any surface to avoid contamination. It should not be reused or touched to the eye after opening. If the solution changes color or becomes cloudy, or if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness, or labor in the eye, stop using the product and consult a doctor. It should not be used for more than 72 hours if the condition worsens or persists. The product should be kept out of reach of children, and in case of ingestion, medical help or contact with a Poison Control Center should be sought. The recommended usage is to twist and pull the tab to open, instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed, and discard the container. The product should be stored at a temperature of 59°F-86°F. The inactive ingredients include Calcium chloride, Hydrochloric acid, Magnesium chloride, Potassium chloride, Purified water, Sodium chloride, Sodium hydroxide, and Sodium lactate. The product can be compared to Refresh® Celluvisc® Lubricant Eye Gel Drops and is preservative-free. It soothes, moisturizes, protects, and lubricates the eyes. It is a sterile product and comes in a container of 0.01 FL OZ (0.4 mL) each.
