This is a drug information sheet for Gestant, a medication distributed by Rusby Laboratories that contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride to temporarily relieve nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever, or other upper respiratory allergies. The drug may not be used if currently taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor and if previously taken, waiting for at least two weeks before using this medication. It is only recommended to be taken as directed and consulting a doctor if one has a heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, or enlarged prostate gland. The drug product should be stored at room temperature and out of reach from children. The inactive ingredients are calcium sulfate, carnauba wax, croscarmellose sodium, FD&G red #40 lake, FD&C yellow #6 lake, gelatin, kaolin, lactose, magnesium silicate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pharmaceutical glaze, silica, stearic acid, sugar, and titanium dioxide.
