This is a description of Naloxone HCI Injection, USP, which comes in a 2 mg per 2 mL (1 mg/mL) dose. It is intended for intravenous, intramuscular or subcutaneous use. The package insert contains instructions for use and assembly of the syringe. Each mL of the solution contains naloxone hydrochloride 1 mg and sodium chloride 8.35 mg in water for injection. It should be stored at a controlled room temperature between 20-25°C (68 to 77°F), protected from light. Unused portions should be discarded.*
