This is a description for Nitroglycerin Ointment, USP. It is for intra-anal use only and comes with a dosage guide included on the carton. Each 375 mg dose (1 inch) contains 1.5 mg of nitroglycerin. The usual dose is to apply 1 inch approximately every 12 hours for up to three weeks, as directed by a physician.
