Metronidazole Cream

Metronidazole is a prescription topical cream with an NDC code of 0713-0633-37. It is only for topical use and should not be used for ophthalmic purposes. Each gram of the cream contains 0.75% (7.5 mg) metronidazole as the active ingredient. Inactive ingredients include emulsifying wax, sorbitol solution, glycerin, isopropyl palmitate, benzyl alcohol, lactic acid, and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust the pH, and purified water. It comes in a tube and is intended for application to the entire affected area of the skin twice a day or as directed by a healthcare provider. The cream is distributed by Cosatts Pharmaceuticals in South Plainfield, NJ. It should be stored at a temperature of 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F), and protected from freezing.*

Metronidazole Lkl is a topical cream that is only for use on the skin and not the eyes. It should be applied thinly to affected areas in the morning and evening or as directed by a physician, while avoiding the eyes. Each gram of the cream contains 0.75% metronidazole and other inactive ingredients. The cream should be stored between 20° and 26°C (68° to 77°F) and protected from freezing.
