Metronidazole Gel USP is a prescription medication for topical use only. It should not be applied close to the eyes and be kept out of the reach of children. The usual dosage is to apply a thin film to the affected areas after washing, twice daily or as directed by a physician. Each gram contains 7.5 mg of metronidazole, with methylparaben and propylparaben as preservatives. The gel consists of carbomer homopolymer NF, edetate disodium, propylene glycol, purified water, and sodium hydroxide. Store between 20-25°C. This medication is distributed by Cosette Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and the lot number and expiration date can be found on the crimped end. NDC is 0713-0637-37.*
