NDC 0799-0001-04 Net wt. 40z (113g) almoseptine® ointment is an anorectal ointment that temporarily protects irritated areas, and provides temporary relief of pain or burning and skin irritations. The active ingredients in the ointment include lanolin, menthol, petrolatum, and zinc oxide. The ointment should be applied externally up to 6 times daily or after each bowel movement. The ointment must be stored between 15-30°C (59-86°F), and must be kept out of the reach of children. If the symptom being treated does not subside or if redness, irritation, swelling, pain or other symptoms develop, it is advised to stop use and ask a doctor if the condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days.*
