This is a drug fact sheet for a poison ivy cleanser that contains 1% Pramoxine HCl for temporary pain relief of poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. The cleanser should be used externally and should not be left on the skin for more than 3 minutes. The product should be applied to the affected areas and surrounding areas, worked into a lather and rubbed for up to 3 minutes, and rinsed thoroughly. The product removes urushiol from the skin and is best used as soon as possible after contact with poison ivy is suspected. The cleanser should be used near a shower or sink for easy rinsing. Children under 2 years old should consult a doctor before use. The cleanser is manufactured by Humco and is available for fast-acting itch relief with jojoba.*
