This is a drug label for a laxative product. The active ingredient is Docusate Sodium 100mg in each softgel. It is used for the occasional relief of constipation and generally produces a bowel movement within 12 to 72 hours. It comes in softgel form, and the directions are to take 1 to 3 softgels once a day or as directed by a doctor for adults and children 12 and older, and 1 softgel daily for children 6 to under 12 years of age. It has several warnings, including consulting a doctor before use in case of certain medical conditions, stopping use and seeking medical help in case of rectal bleeding or no bowel movement after using the product. The label also warns against using the drug for more than 1 week without consulting a doctor and that an overdose can be dangerous. The product does not have a coating.*
