This is the description of a blood pack unit with code 4R3644 designed for collection and processing of 500 mL Blood. It comes with an anticoagulant solution called CPDA-1 and a 16 ga. Ultra Thin Wall Fenwal HighFlo Needle. Each unit has a primary container with 70 mL of solution and three empty 400 mL Transfer Pack containers. The solution contains Adenine, Citrate Phosphate Dextrose, and sodium hydroxide. The unit is sterile and non-pyrogenic and should be used only once, with instructions for use. It should be stored at Controlled Room Temperature, avoiding freezing or excessive heat. The unit comes in a pouch to be opened by tearing across the notch.
