Insulin glargine injection is a medication used for subcutaneous injection to treat diabetes. It is available in a 10 mL multiple-dose vial and is only to be used with a U-100 syringe. Insulin glargine must be refrigerated until opened and should be discarded 28 days after opening. The medication contains 100 units (36378 mg) insulin glargine, 30 meg 2nc, 2.7 mg m-cresol, 20 mg glycercl 85%, 20 mog plysotate 20, and water for injection. The pH is adjusted by adding aqueous solutions of hydrochloric acid and sodium hydovide.
