This is a description of Aminosyn®-PF10%, a pediatric formula 2 for amino acid injection available in Pharmacy Bulk Package. It is sulfite-free and is not for direct infusion. This product is intended for use only in a pharmacy admixture program with the usual dosage which can be found in the provided insert. Once the outlet site has been entered, the withdrawal of container contents should be promptly completed in one continuous operation. The product is sterile, nonpyrogenic, and does not contain a bacteriostat. It is required to discard the container not later than 4 hours after an initial closure puncture. The additives may be incompatible with fluid withdrawn from this container, so consultation with a pharmacist is recommended. The product should be stored at 20 to 25°C (68 to 77°F), avoiding excessive heat, freezing, and exposure to light. Only clear solution and undamaged containers can be used, and it must not be used in series connections. It contains DEHP.*
